Continuing / In-service Education

Within Barnabas Health, professional learning is designed to augment the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of nurses, therefore enhancing the nurses' contributions to quality health care. As roles and responsibilities change, the need for continuing competence increases.

Barnabas Health Program Calendar- Updated quarterly, the Barnabas Health professional nurse can register to participate in a variety of educational initiatives sponsored by The Nursing Education Advisory Council (NEAC). This Council, comprised of Directors of Education from each affiliate within Barnabas Health is dedicated to the development of state-of-the-art educational programming.

Computers are available at each Barnabas Health affiliate for contact hour access. Questions regarding computer locations can be referred to the affiliate's Director of Education.

In cooperation with GE Healtcare most Barnabas Health affiliates offer a Training in Partnership Television (TiP-TV). TiP-TV offers accredited continuing education courses and best practices for nurses within Barnabas Health. Questions regarding computer locations can be referred to the affiliate's Director of Education.
